Welcome to Kindermusik at Brighter Days! We are delighted to have you join our Kindermusik community. We have several policies in place to ensure that you and your family have the best experience possible.
ON-GOING ENROLLMENT
Our enrollment runs, from September through December (Fall semester) and January-May (Spring semester). We run separate sessions in the summer. Once you enroll for the semester, we assume you will be staying with us unless you tell us otherwise. If you need to cancel, please fill out our withdrawal form.
ATTENDANCE
Regular attendance is important to a child’s sense of security. It is important that you make every effort to attend each class on a regular basis. When you pay your tuition, an instructor will be assigned for a specific time each week. Your place in the class is exclusively reserved for you; therefore, there are no refunds or credits for classes missed due to student absence (including student illness or personal obligations).
MAKEUP CLASSES
No matter the reason for the missed class, we are happy to have you join another class of the same level at any point throughout the year. If you miss a class and decide to join another one, contact Dr. Florence or the instructor in advance so that she knows to expect your family.
WEATHER and NON-WEATHER CANCELLATIONS
Our studio follows the lead of the Olentangy Local Schools District. When classes are cancelled due to weather, or in the case that class is cancelled due to the absence or illness of an instructor, a make-up class will be scheduled. If you are unable to attend the make-up class, you will receive credit to attend another class of the same level.

SANITATION
After every class, we will ask that all instruments used be placed in the “dirty” bin. We will clean and sanitize the instruments in the dirty bin between sessions.
SHOE POLICY
Before every class, every student and parent is expected to take off their shoes and store them in the designated area. For this reason we recommend wearing socks to every session, preferably non-slip socks.
FOOD AND DRINK
We will keep the Kindermusik classroom free from food during class time. Water bottles are allowed if necessary. Some of our children or adults have allergies, and we want to keep our space safe for everyone. On occasion we may have special celebrations, during which food and drinks will be allowed.
CELL PHONES
We love that you want to capture the adorable moments in class! Please use your cell phone to take pictures sparingly throughout class so as not distract from your time with your child. Also, be aware of photos with other children in them and ask permission from those caregivers if you plan on sharing on your social media. You are welcome to keep your phone on a table, counter, or window shelf so that it is out of reach of little hands. If you are willing to share these moments of joy, please email or text them to Dr. Florence. Thank you!
